Workshops
Participants were able to attend two out of five workshops. Click on the following links to view their presentations (alternatively, scroll down to see them below):
1. Emma Chandler, Head of Wellbeing at Thomas Tallis School, spoke about her experiences of using Twitter in the classroom.
2. Susan Vittery from the Parliament Education Service ran a workshop on engaging young people with democracy via digital tools and learning resources.
3. Emma McDermott from The Nerve Centre in Northern Ireland focused on the Comic Life software as a way of creating digital storyboards and graphics to support Citizenship education.
4. John McTaggart from Modernity Scotland led a workshop on different approaches to using digital technology and social media in teaching.
5. Peter Baxter from Apple in Ireland looked at the ways in which Apple-specific technology could be used successfully in the classroom. The following three youtube clips take you through his presentation.
