2. Promoting Citizenship Education through Pupil Voice

This project is an inter-nation collaborative School Council Project between Cathays High School in Cardiff and St Peter of the Apostle High School in Clydebank. It aims to identify examples of good practice, regarding the implementation and impact of pupil voice on school improvement. School council or associated pupil voice groups will be given the opportunity to visit each other’s schools and learn how effectively each school develops and embeds pupil voice. Pupils will also learn from each other about the differences between Scottish and Welsh Education system. They will learn about the differences and similarities between each other’s cultures, education systems and political structures. This will all contribute to developing their wider knowledge and understanding of citizenship and values education.
