Welcome to the Five Nations Network
The Five Nations Network is a unique forum in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales for sharing practice in education for citizenship and values.
Teachers, educationalist, policy makers, curriculum planners, members of the inspectorate, representatives of NGOs and young people from across the UK and Ireland have been meeting together ever year since 2000 for an annual conference.
A Five Nations Network Strategy Group, comprising representatives from each of the five countries and supported by IGE UK, meets regularly between conferences.
In September 2009, the Five Nations Network issued a shared Call to Action calling on politicians and policy makers across the five countries to make a renewed commitment to citizenship and values education to enable young people to engage with our increasingly complex, challenging and changing world.
